CLASSES
Question & Answer Complete Short Course for Writers Hatrack River
Best known for his science fiction novels Ender's Game and Ender's Shadow, Orson Scott Card has written in many other forms and genres. Beginning with dozens of plays and musical comedies produced in the 1960s and 70s, Card's first published fiction appeared in 1977 -- the short story Gert Fram in the July issue of The Ensign, and the novelette version of Ender's Game in the August issue of Analog.
Orson Scott Card's Web site contains a complete short course for writers. It is apparently in question and answer form.

Critters
Critters is an on-line workshop/critique group for serious writers of Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror. You get your work critiqued in exchange for critiquing the work of others, both of which are invaluable ways to improve your writing. It's run by Dr. Andrew Burt, former vice-president of Science Fiction Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America, and his army of software minions. Critters is free (except for the work of doing critiques!).

Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America, Inc. started as the Science Fiction Writers of America was founded in 1965 by Damon Knight, who also served as its first president. In 1992, the membership voted to officially change the name to the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America, Inc.
